Deck The Halls

This gorgeous designer paper is so versatile–I love it and wish I would have started using it a lot sooner.  I have two projects to share with you today.

The first is a Scrapbook in a box.  I used Always Artichoke as the base.  Cut a 9" x 9" square and score at 3 and 6 inches on both sides.  Cut to the centre square on both sides to create the sides of the box.  I cut 2 3/4" squares of Deck the Halls DSP to line each square on the inside of the box and 4 squares using another pattern on the outside of the box.

The Pointsetta on the top of the box is made with the 5-Petal Flower Punch and Cherry Cobbler C/S; and the Holly is created by punching out a wide oval in always Artichoke. Edges sponged along the centre fold and the 3/4" and 1/2" circle punches used to create the Holly leaves.  Sponge the edges with Whisper White ink.  I love this little box!

My next project is a Tri-Fold card.  I Always Artichoke C/S along with Deck The Halls DSP to make this stunning card.  Really, it's not that difficult–I just had to follow directions.  After making the first Tri-Fold card, I decided to do another using different paper.  I chose Elegant Soiree with Soft Suede.  I love both of these cards and am planning to make more.  Hope you like them as much as I do.
