Easter Wishes

Posted by on Apr 8, 2011 in Uncategorized

I'm back with some more great cards!  I had a request from my friend Angie, for some Easter cards, including a special one for Mom so here are two that I'd like to share with you.  I used the Fun Flowers Big Shot Die #121812 on both cards.  The colors in the first card are Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White.  I made a cute little bow with the Baja Breeze Seam Binding #122331 and sponged the Framed Tulips #121809 with Baja Breeze Classic Ink.  For the centre of the flower, to give some added dimension, I added a Baja Breeze Cordoroy button from the Clearance Rack and spritzed the flower with Champagne Shimmer mist.

The second card is Pink Pirouette with Soft Suede and a 4×4 piece of Neutrals Patterns DSP #117157.  This two sided pattern has small wording on one side and polka dots on the other.  You can see, to stretch my DSP, I ripped it and mounted it on a piece of Soft Suede CS and then embossed it with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder #121809.  I made another bow, using the fork technique, this time with Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon #119260 .  If you'd like to learn how to make these bows, I'd be happy to share the technique with you and your friends too.  In the centre of the flower, I added three different sizes of our Basic Pearls #119247.  You get 50 each of three different sizes in a pack and they are so easy to work with.

To personalize this card for "Mom", I used the Billboard Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die #114510 and cut out the letters I needed.  I am thrilled with my final result and I think Angie and Dan will like it too!

Thanks for stopping by.  See you again tomorrow.
