Kissing Butterflies

WOW!  I've had a break this long week end and here we are in a brand new Stampin' Up catalogue year.  Although we do have quite a few new stamps, I decided to use Flight of the Butterflies and Fine Flourish stamp sets to demonstrate the "kissing" technique.  This technique is quite simple:  you ink a solid stamp in one color and ink a pattered stamp in another color and kiss the two stamps together.  Then stamp your solid image stamp on your cardstock to see the interested pattern.

Twisted kissing is the same but with one extra step–when you kiss the stamps together, you twist them slightly  and then stamp the solid image for yet another look.  The Faux Marble technique is done with household wax paper that you just crumple in a ball, ink up and then stamp on your cardstock to make the marble background.  It's fun playing around with different colors–I encourage you to try it some time.  You will like it!

The colors used today are Pear Pizzaz, Cajun Craze and Whisper White;  Inks – Cajun Craze and Pear Pizzaz.  July Crafts & Cards 2011 001
I'm pleased with this card and hope you like it too!

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be back tomorrow.
