Welcome back! It's been a busy day so far–crafting +++ so today Kathy and I got together to create a Thank You card for our Tom Boy Tool Consultant. When I showed her (Linda Stewart) my tool card, the one Connie Turner made for one of our downline swaps, she loved it and wanted to order the stamp set, Totally Tool #113256.
Here's the "tool box" cards we made using Connie's idea–we had to change the colors to go with "Tom Boy" tools:
Even this photo is not as good as seeing the real card. The tape measure, saw and crescent are stamped with Versamark #102283 on Brushed Silver Cardstock #100712 and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder #109131. We added a pink handle to the saw and attached it with our new mini brads #122941. The Early Expresso strip on the front of the tool box is dry embossed with the Big Shot Stripes #123128 embossing folder.
As I was cutting the cardstock, I made what I thought, was a mistake by cutting off the wrong corners for the top of the tool box. It turns out, it was not a mistake at all. I turned it into a tool bag and added a gift card inside. To close the bag I added a small piece of velcro–works perfectly. Take a peek and tell me what you think:
Stamps are very versatile and can be used in a number of ways–for paper, fabric, tile, wood, home decor and more. The sky is the limit!
If you love my projects and would like to learn more, this is the perfect time to join one of my clubs. I've got a Technique Club starting on September 1–read all about it on my calendar or e-mail me to ask more questions. In addition to the regular club benefits, all club members will receive an extra bonus from me this year–an altered lunch tin/card box–the perfect place to store the cards you make and keeps them safe so they're ready to send when you need one.
I love what I do! Stamping, crafting and creating! Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow!
