City of David silver

This retired stamp is a favorite that I pulled out today–I love the simplicity of this stamp and the sentiment is just perfect.  I inked the image with Versamark, embossed it with Silver Embossing powder and cut it out with a Labels framelit.  I stamped Joseph leading the donkey with Mary on it in the bottom left corner of the card insert along with this message:

  •     It was a simple gift of love that changed the course of the world.
  • Christmas Blessings to you and yours

In this sample, I used the Emboss Resist technique, stamping the image with Versamark, embossing with Clear Embossing Powder and then sponging over the image.

Which one do you like best?   I hope you've been inspired to create a card–pull out some of your old favorite stamps and see what you can come up with.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. Happy crafting!
