Died Canvas Sentiment

Todays card is another new technique that I tried out–died canvas.  Instructions were given last fall in Stampin' Success, a magazine published for all demonstrators.

Dip canvas into three progressively darker colors of water mixed with reinker.  The first one, dip completely into the lightest color; the second one, dip about 2/3 into a little darker color; then dip bottom 1/3 into the darkest color.  Allow to air dry or dry with an iron. Stamp sentiment on dried canvas with Stazon ink and finish card as desired.

The Delicate Details Lace Tape #130966 was stuck on the left side of the sentiment and sponged with Summer Starfruit.  The lace was then removed and can be used again on another project.  The Island Indigo Ribbon is from the Sale-a-bration Ribbon and Buttons pack that is also a FREE item during Sale-a-bration.

I'm very pleased with this card and hope you may have learned something new by reading this post, or been inspired to create a card or decorate a scrapbook page.  The Lace Tape is especially good for scrapbooking.  There are two different designs in one package.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!
