Swallowtail Shimmer Wash
This Swallowtail butterfly is embossed with Pool Party embossing powder #129398 on Midnight Muse cardstock. Then it is painted with Champagne Shimmer Paint. Champagne Shimmer Paint is definitely one of my favorite Stampin' Up accessories! The Shimmer Wash technique was one of the February techniques learned in my Tech Club.
In this card, the Swallowtail was embossed with Black embossing powder on Whisper White cardstock, colored with Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango Stamp 'n Write Markers and then the painted with Champagne Shimmer paint and an Aqua Painter. Unfortunately, the shimmer does not show properly on this photo, so I recommend you try this technique or attend one of my classes so you can see it first hand. A tip to remember is to heat set the shimmer paint because it remains tacky if not completely dry. I spritzed the card with the Tangerine Tango Marker and the Spritzer tool.
I really love the Swallowtail #129213W $21.95/129216C $16.95 and I'm excited to create some more great cards with this delightful stamp while it is still available for purchase. If you like the Swallowtail, plan to get it before the Occasions catalogue expires on May 31, 2013. You can place an online order by clicking the 'Shop' button on the right side bar or by contacting me my e-mail for phone.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!
