Daisy Thanks!

Posted by on Aug 23, 2017 in Big Shot, Kits, Thanks

Did you know the Daisy punch is the most popular punch that Stampin’ Up has had in the last five years!  Is it a wonder that since the new 2017-18 catalogue was released in June, that it has gone into back order status several times? I watched a Facebook Live episode by Tami White and Linda Collins and they featured Daisy samples on their show.  This is one of the cards they shared.  Although I made some changes, the layout is the same.  These are the Thank You cards I made for my customers this month.  I even stamped a daisy on the envelope. Besides preparing for classes and making thank you cards, I’ve also been working on projects for the Retreat in September!  Designing, photos of projects and steps as needed, preparing kits and tutorials and more.  I also sent out an e-mail to announce that The Retreat in a Box is available for purchase for $100.  If you weren’t able to attend the Retreat in September, the Retreat in a Box is your next best option.  Already, half of the boxes available are sold so if you know of anyone that might be interested in getting a box, let them know as soon as possible.  If you’ve already purchased your box, you are in for a treat and will be delighted with all the contents and amazing value! Thanks for visiting today.  Happy...

Happy Birthday!

Posted by on Aug 22, 2017 in Big Shot, Birthday

Today’s share was made with Retired Cardstock, Designer Series Paper, Festive Flower Builder Punch and Large Polka Dot embossing folder.  Do you have any these items in your craft room that you could use to make a beautiful card?  This card was prepared for the Special Needs class I’ll be teaching tomorrow.  I would like to encourage you to use whatever you have.  The candle flame was made with Gold Glimmer paper, punched with the Festive Flower Builder Punch. We always make two cards at each class so here’s the second card I prepared, this one is made with almost all current product.  The only exception is the speckled White cardstock and the Delightful Dijon cardstock/ink which was used to stamp and punch out the Daisy. The Daisy Bundle is now in stock and available for purchase.   There’s a strip of Early Expresso Brick on the right side of the card for some nice texture.  To make the daisy, stamp and punch two flowers, then layer on top of each other, staggering the petals.  Curl the flower petals a little with your bone folder or a pen and attach to your card with a dimensional. What a quick and easy card!  Love it!  Tomorrow I’ll be sharing another daisy card which I’m sure you’ll love!  Thanks for visiting today!  Happy...

Happy Birthday!

Todays share is made with Retired Designer paper, a Retired punch and embossing folder.  The technique is Embedded Embossing.  I shared a Christmas card using this technique a couple of posts ago so today’s post is another example of using what you have to make something beautiful! This card is one that the Adult Special Needs Class made  last week.  Simply punch assorted sizes of circles or images you choose out of Designer Series Paper and glue onto a piece of cardstock % 1/4″ x 4″.  I found a glue dot on the back of each shape works great because you don’t have to worry about glue oozing out on the edges and making your embossing folder stick.  If shapes stick over the edge, that’s ok–you just trim them off with your paper snips.  Then run through the embossing folder of your choice.  Tip:  A smaller design works best for this technique. I totally love this technique!  If you’ve never tried it, give it a try and you’ll how cool this technique is!  Thanks for visiting today.  Happy crafting!...

Tiny Treat Box

Posted by on Aug 15, 2017 in 3D, Thanks

These tiny treat boxes are just the perfect size for a little treat!  Assembly of the boxes is easy, they are sturdy and easy to decorate!  In today’s sample, I added a piece of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, 1″ x 9″ and wrapped it around the box.  Then I added a Night of Navy Starburst punch and a layered circle on top, stamped with two small daisies and a sentiment.  The Daffodil 1/4″ Double Stitched Ribbon around the box tied in a bow and two Daffodil Delight Enamel Shapes tie this box together perfectly. Thanks for visiting today.  Hope you can come back tomorrow to see another sample or two of how to use this tiny treat box.  Happy...

Peace This Christmas!

Posted by on Aug 14, 2017 in Uncategorized

Peace this Christmas meets Embedded Embossing with Garden Trellis and Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper in today’s post! I’ve been wanting to revisit the Embedded Embossing technique for some time…of course, I was itching to use the NEW quilted Christmas DSP so punched circles out of assorted patterns in 1 1/4″, 1″ and 3/4″, lightly glued them onto Whisper White Designer Series paper and embossed with the Garden Trellis Textured Embossing Folder.  Then I layered the quilted sheet on Real Red and layered all on a Garden Green card base.  Peace this Christmas is the stamp set used in this creation, currently in the annual Stampin’ Up catalogue. I love how this card came together.    If you like it, why not try to recreate this card.  You can use any colors and punches you like.  The Garden Trellis is a great folder to use for this technique because it has quite a lot of detail. Thanks for visiting today.  Happy crafting!  I’d love to see your embedded embossing...
