Happy Birthday!

Posted by on Aug 22, 2017 in Big Shot, Birthday

Today’s share was made with Retired Cardstock, Designer Series Paper, Festive Flower Builder Punch and Large Polka Dot embossing folder.  Do you have any these items in your craft room that you could use to make a beautiful card?  This card was prepared for the Special Needs class I’ll be teaching tomorrow.  I would like to encourage you to use whatever you have.  The candle flame was made with Gold Glimmer paper, punched with the Festive Flower Builder Punch. We always make two cards at each class so here’s the second card I prepared, this one is made with almost all current product.  The only exception is the speckled White cardstock and the Delightful Dijon cardstock/ink which was used to stamp and punch out the Daisy. The Daisy Bundle is now in stock and available for purchase.   There’s a strip of Early Expresso Brick on the right side of the card for some nice texture.  To make the daisy, stamp and punch two flowers, then layer on top of each other, staggering the petals.  Curl the flower petals a little with your bone folder or a pen and attach to your card with a dimensional. What a quick and easy card!  Love it!  Tomorrow I’ll be sharing another daisy card which I’m sure you’ll love!  Thanks for visiting today!  Happy...

Happy Birthday!

Posted by on Aug 21, 2017 in Big Shot, Birthday, Techniques

Todays share is made with Retired Designer paper, a Retired punch and embossing folder.  The technique is Embedded Embossing.  I shared a Christmas card using this technique a couple of posts ago so today’s post is another example of using what you have to make something beautiful! This card is one that the Adult Special Needs Class made  last week.  Simply punch assorted sizes of circles or images you choose out of Designer Series Paper and glue onto a piece of cardstock % 1/4″ x 4″.  I found a glue dot on the back of each shape works great because you don’t have to worry about glue oozing out on the edges and making your embossing folder stick.  If shapes stick over the edge, that’s ok–you just trim them off with your paper snips.  Then run through the embossing folder of your choice.  Tip:  A smaller design works best for this technique. I totally love this technique!  If you’ve never tried it, give it a try and you’ll how cool this technique is!  Thanks for visiting today.  Happy crafting!...

Big on Birthdays!

Posted by on Aug 9, 2017 in Birthday

The birthday greeting featured on this card is from Big on Birthdays stamp set.  This Clean and Simple card takes only a few minutes to make, provided you follow the steps.  The Soft Sky marbled background looks like the Shaving Cream technique but takes a fraction of the time to make.  The sentiment is stamped in Momento Black.  The inside is also lovely–there’s a nice spray of flowers in this stamp set that was perfect for the inside. Add a little Wink of Stella and you’re good to go! Thanks for visiting today!  Happy crafting!  What will tomorrow bring?  Hope you can come back to see a lovely surprise I’d like to share with...

Pocketful of Sunshine!

Posted by on Jul 27, 2017 in 3D, Big Shot, Birthday, Other

Today’s share was created with the Pocketful of Sunshine Bundle by Carolanne Fright.  Both the card and the pocket treat bag are absolutely lovely! Two rhinestones fell off the flowers before this photo was taken but you can see where they belong. Colors used on these projects are Dapper Denim and Peek-a-boo Peach. Just a little reminder that Bonus Days end on July 31.  For every $60. you spend in July, you will get a $6 coupon to use on your August order.  If you’d like to take advantage of Bonus Days, send me your order and I’ll take care of the rest! Thanks for visiting...
