Santa’s Sleigh

Posted by on Dec 24, 2016 in 3D, Big Shot, Holiday

December, Christmas Eve, the night before Christmas!  This was my first attempt to fill Santa’s sleigh with gifts!  What fun I had!  Now I don’t know why I waited so long! You can be sure that I will be keeping this bundle as I definitely plan to play some more!  Creating the right formation with the gifts was a bit of a challenge but so much fun! Thanks for visiting today.  Hope you have a great Christmas celebration…whatever you are doing with your family.  If you are a praying person, please say a special prayer for my friend, Carell, who’s husband was tragically killed this week  in a senseless auto accident when a stolen vehicle went out of control and hit our friends.  Christmas will be especially difficult this year for Carell and her family, along with others who may have lost a loved one...

Christmas Gift Ensemble

Posted by on Dec 23, 2016 in 3D, Big Shot, Christmas, Holiday

Today’s share is a lovely gift ensemble created by HandiCrafter, Ann Lauzon.  Ann does amazing work and everyone of these delightful boxes are filled with goodies and surprises!   In addition, Ann made the beautiful faceted box below and added a nice little surprise for me–in my favorite color, purple! Beautiful Gold embossing on the Cherry Cobbler box as well as on the sentiment, make this an outstanding creation! I’m late in today’s post because we had our family Christmas Celebration today!  I started at the crack of dawn and barely took a rest all day, although I must say the kids and grandkids were all helpful and love the turkey dinner with all the trimmings, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, roasted vegetables and pumpkin pie with ice cream!  We had an absolutely wonderful day! Only one more post before Christmas so I promise to post it early in the morning!  Thanks so much for visiting today and every day you visit!  I hope you are inspired by my posts!  If you have anything in particular that you would like to see, drop me a line and I’ll do my best to make it...

Today’s post is a lovely interlocking, multi-level gift box created and filled by Laura-Lee Doucet.  This photo was taken before the chocolates were all gone! What an amazing way to package chocolates!  Of course, you could put anything you like in the little boxes but this gift was truly a surprise an delight!  Part of the curiosity is in the packaging and this one was very interesting! Thanks for visiting today!  Happy crafting!  I hope you can come back tomorrow to see another great gift I received at our HandiCrafters Christmas...

Happy Christmas!

This lovely card created by Jennifer Brennan features the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate from the Annual catalogue.  The acetate foil sheet is layered on Cherry Cobbler cardstock with a Gold Foil scalloped oval layered under the sentiment, a Gold 5/8″ Satin Ribbon and some little dangling Jingle bells.  How beautiful! Only 4 more sleeps till Christmas so I’ll be posting a few more Christmas projects and then I’ll spring right into the upcoming Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-bration, which I hope you’ll be as excited about as I am! Thanks for visiting today.  See you...

Games People Play!

Posted by on Dec 19, 2016 in 3D, Christmas, Holiday, Other

Today’s post is a peek at some of the fun games we played at our team Christmas Party! The first game was Naughty or Nice!  Each cup had a naughty or nice statement, some little treat and a little sampling of some embellishments or ribbon from the new Occasions catalogue. The cups were all closed with a piece of tissue paper and an elastic! When your name got called, you went up to the board and punched a hole in the cup of your choice, after which you would read the message and keep the treats and surprizes! The second game was the Left & Right game which we played for our gift exchange!  John was our story reader and read a story about Rudolph! What a fun time was had by all!  South Dale-a-bration just around the corner, this is a great time to consider joining the Stampin’Up Family!  I would be more than thrilled to have you join my team! Please contact me if you have any questions about...

Candy Lane Candy Cane Tags

Posted by on Dec 17, 2016 in 3D, Christmas, Holiday

These adorable little candy cane tags take only a few minutes to make–perfect tags for everyone with a sweet tooth!  I know my grandkids would really love these!  This idea was inspired by a You Tube video.  I have made some changes but the general idea is the same. The candy canes are not the full size–they were part of a Value Pack I got at the dollar store.  The Crumb Cake cardstock is 1 1/2″ x 6″, scored at 1 1/2″, 3″, 3 1/2″, 5″ and 5 1/2″.  The hole punched for the candy cane is 3/8″.  I believe this punch is retired but it was perfect for this project.  Sometimes we just can’t part with some of our favorites when they retire and this punch is one of those items. Thanks for visiting today!  Happy crafting as you prepare those last minute...
