Celebrate You!

Posted by on May 3, 2016 in Birthday, Occasions 2016, Wedding/Anniversary

Suite Sayings from the Occasions catalogue is an amazing stamp set–perfect for numerous occasions.  Celebrate You, is  one of 10 stamps in this set and covers not only  birthday, but anniversary, graduation, congratulations and…you name it! The texture on this card was first created with the Gently Falling embossing folder.  Then, I added some splatters of Silver glitter which really make this card pop!  To add the glitter, you put some multipurpose adhesive into a small container and dilute it with water till it is quite watery. Mix it well with an aqua painter and splash it onto your card.  Immediately, sprinkle the silver gliter over the card.  The glitter will stick to the wet diluted glue. I love this technique!  Try it today and play with different colors!  The glitter shows up exceptionally well on dark colors but it looks nice on the Blushing Bride I’m sharing with you today!  Just a reminder that items on the Retiring List are running out daily so if there’s something you want before it’s gone, go to my online store or contact me today.  Thanks for visiting...

Corrugated Crush Butterflies!

Posted by on May 2, 2016 in Big Shot, Occasions 2016, Techniques

PapillonPotpourri meet Fluttering Embossing Folder and Kraft Corrugated paper by Stampin’ Up!  My original design–I love every part of this card! This technique was introduced by Linda Heller from the Stamping School.  Unfortunately, the Corrugated Paper (page 148, annual catalogue) is on the Retired List and will only be available while supplies last! The 6×6 Fluttering embossing folder allows me to turn the corrugated paper on an angle to create the natural look of butterflies flying away! Try this technique and experiment with colors!  It’s fun to experiment with various products, play and make your own designs!  Thanks for visiting today.  Happy crafting!...

These sweet little treat bags are another inspiration from Pootles!  The style is identical with my own little twist. The Stiched Hello Honey ribbon is currently on the Clearance Rack at a bargain of a deal so head on over there to take a look before it’s all gone!  Besides that, please be reminded that the 2014-2016 In Colors will be gone soon so don’t delay in stocking up on your favorite colors! Botanical Blooms!

Posted by on Apr 4, 2016 in Big Shot, Occasions 2016

I am loving the Botanical Blooms Builder Thinlits and coordinating stamp set.  This is my first creation with this stamp set, inspired by a team swap card created by Lorri Spencer.  The colors used in this sample include Island Indigo, Soft Sky and Whisper White.  Intended to be a thank you card, I used a sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners, For You, so it could be for any occasion.   Can you see the sparkles created by the Wink of Stella?  This product is definitely one of my new favorites!  If you don’t have one yet, you’ll want to get one soon–they are so easy and fun to use! I made a dozen cards similar to this last night, with just a few minor changes.  Creating beautiful cards like this is so easy with the Big Shot and amazing dies and thinlits that Stampin’ Up carry.  If you’re reading this post and don’t have a catalogue, you can request a free complimentary copy today.  There are currently two catalogues available, the annual catalogue and the Occasions catalogue which will both expire on May 31, 2016. Every year in April,  my birthday month, I have a special Retirement Sale (retiring product) where you can get free retired product in exchange for and order of equal value from any current catalogue.  I’m starting to prepare for the BIG party on April 30, so hope you’ll be able to come.  If you have purchased from me during the current catalogue year, you will be receiving a hand stamped invitation from me.  This party is open to all interested stampers and crafters.  Keep tuned for more information on this exciting event! Cupcake Slider

Posted by on Mar 25, 2016 in Babies & Kids, Birthday, Occasions 2016

I wanted to make a special birthday card for our granddaughter who will be turning 1 on Sunday–a year has just flown by!  This interactive slider card reveals a special message when you pull the slider tab!  This design was originally created by Dawn Griffith, but I changed it up a bit.  Without the big cupcakes on the bottom, the card just seemed too plain so I added the big cupcakes.  Then I decided to add the number “1” but I needed more room and decided there should only have been one big cup cake! Come back tomorrow to see another version, with a few more bells and whistles.  I can hardly wait to share with...
