Look what you can do with just one stamp in this set:  one stamp–3 different images! Can you imagine the possibilities of this stamp alone?  If you’d like to play with this set, plan to attend my Basic Card Class on May 16. Thanks for visiting today!  Happy...

Happy Anniversary

Posted by on May 3, 2017 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Today’s card is an original, inspired by a photo I saw in a crafting magazine.  The card base is Melon Mambo with the coordinating Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper. This design is really easy to create: Cut a piece of DSP 4″ x 8″ and score on the long side at 4″. Then make a small pencil mark on the right side (short side) at the 2″ mark. Draw a pencil line from the 2″ mark to the 4″ score line. Make a second pencil mark from the 2″ pencil mark on the right to the top left corner of the DSP. Cut the wedges off and score on the 4″ score line. Layer on your card, add the greeting of your choice and you’re done! To add a little extra texture, you could emboss the Basic Black layer, as I did with the Stars embossing folder.  When I posted this photo, I noticed the alignment of the wedge was slightly off.  When you make yours, I know you’ll make the edges flush.  I used Tombow Multi purpose glue and it shifts a little when first placed.  I like this option, but you must be careful for the first few minutes until the glue is set. Thanks for visiting today.  Happy...

Helping Me Grow

Posted by on Apr 25, 2017 in 3D, Big Shot, Retiring | 0 comments

This lovely treat bag, stamped with Helping Me Grow, a stamp set on the current Retiring List, was a gift I received from my friend, Dee Beauchamp, this week.  The treat inside is as lovely as the treat bag made with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits (137547), a lovely note and a package of flower seeds, just in time for spring planting.  The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder and cut out with a Rose Garden Thinlit (140619). I love the Mini Treat bags and am so happy they will be in the NEW 2017-18 Annual catalogue, however, the 2017 Retired List is out and a number of items are already sold out.  Stampin’ Up re-loaded the Clearance Rack today so I would like to invite you to take a look.  There are so many bargains, of which some are already sold out on the first day so take a look today by clicking on the Clearance Rack Button on the side bar of my blog. Thanks for visiting!  Have a wonderful...

Pop-Out Butterfly Birthday!

Posted by on Apr 24, 2017 in Birthday, Creative Folds, Retiring | 0 comments

Today’s share is one of two Creative Folds that stampers will be learning how to make today at my Creative Folds Class.  This creative fold was shared by Linda Bauwin, although the design is my own. I had a lot of fun designing this card and surely am planning to make more!  When you remove the belly band, and open this gate fold card, the inside of the card pops out!  It is beautiful! Did you know that Watermelon Wonder (2015-2017 In Color) and also the Papillon Potpourri stamp set used to create this card are retiring?  All retiring items are only while supplies last so if these are on your wish list, be sure to order soon to avoid disappointment.  Many items are already depleted so check your list today! Thanks for visiting...

Mini Treat Bags!

Posted by on Apr 17, 2017 in 3D, Big Shot | 0 comments

Last week end at OnStage in Calgary, my friend, Dee,  gifted me with the little treat bag on the left! I loved it so much, I asked her for directions to recreate the bag and so I did!   I used a different color of paper and I did the bee a little different but this is a perfect example of CASEing–Copy And Share Everything! What a great way to use Designer Series Paper!  All you need is a 6″ x 4 1/2″ piece of DSP!  On the long side, score at 2 1/2″ and 3 1/2″, then turn and score it at 1″ and 3 1/2″!  Burnish the score lines and put your bag together!  Fill it with a little treat and tie it with a ribbon.  As for the embellishment on the front of the bag, you can do whatever you want–use the bumble bee from Dragonfly Dreams, use a flower, or simply add the sentiment of your choice.  Add a little bling with a couple rhinestone, Enamel shapes, a few pearls or whatever you like! You can make this little bag in a few minutes, so why not try it now!  Thanks for visiting...
