Crafty Turtle!

Posted by on Mar 9, 2017 in 3D, Big Shot, Punch Art

Love these turtle cards inspired by Frenchie!  These cards are made with a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ cardstock, scored at the 4 1/4″ mark. Cut a shell, 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ square and emboss it with the NEW Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The first sample is Always Artichoke and the second is Crumb Cake.  To create the legs, fold card and using your envelope punch board and punch at 1″ and 3 1/4″ on all four sides.  Repeat on the shell and then cut the legs off.  Sponge with desired colors: I used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Early Expresso and Always Artichoke.  Have fun and play with color combos. The head is the bell punch with the knob cut off and the tail is the Classic Label Punch.  I had so much fun making these turtle cards, I made 15 in all and shared them with my HandiCrafters and our Dessert Night this week.  I experimented a bit more and Clear Embossed the shell on some of the turtles, after all, turtles do have a shiny, hard shell.  They were a hit!  My next job is to create a detailed photo tutorial. Sale-a-bration will be ending soon so if you haven’t got your favorite FREE items yet, I would encourage you to get them before they are gone! Thanks for visiting today!  Happy crafting!...

Hopping Frog

Posted by on Feb 22, 2017 in 3D, Creative Folds, Punch Art, Sale-a-bration 2017

Todays share is a creative hopper fold, which is one of two fun folds I’ll be sharing at my Creative Folds class this month.  The colors used are Mint Macaron and Cucumber Crush and the glittery belly on the frog is the NEW Mint Macaron Glimmer paper, one of the latest Sale-a-bration offerings.  The picture doesn’t quite do justice to this card but I can assure you, it is adorable!  This frog actually hops out of the envelope because the folds just don’t want to stay flat like most cards so you have a real 3D effect! When you open this card, the messages are revealed!  It is so cute! The NEW Glimmer Paper assortment includes 4 sheets of each color: Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum and Bermuda Bay in 6×6 and is FREE with a $60. order.  This product is bound to be a very popular item and will be featured at my upcoming classes.  Come play with me and try it out!  You can check my class schedule for more details by clicking on Upcoming events and even RSVP to the class. Thanks for visiting today.  Happy...

Today’s punch art card is a re-post from convention, created by Sheri Woolsey.  I thought this was the perfect card to post as my friend, Delphine, broker her little toe and she is definitely in need of some get well wishes. Although punches retire from time to time and are no longer available, new ones come out so one can create a similar project. Thanks for visiting today.  If you love punch art, and would love to create with me, tell me what you’d love to create and I’ll schedule a class.  Happy...

Seasonal Bells

Posted by on Sep 2, 2016 in Christmas, Holiday, Punch Art

Today’s cards feature the Seasonal Bells Bundle from the Holiday catalogue!  These were swap cards at our team meeting this week, and I thought it was kind of cool that Carolanne and I both used Seasonal Bells, yet both cards are completely different!  The Seasonal Bundle includes the stamp set and also a coordinating bell punch. I often go to Pinterest to get ideas and when I start playing with my stamps, the creative juices start flowing! I’m so excited about this new catalogue–there are so many great products to choose from.  If you haven’t got a catalogue and would like one, please ask for your complimentary copy! Thanks for visiting today!  Have a wonderful...

Layered Pansy Meets Washi Tape

Posted by on Aug 24, 2016 in Other, Punch Art, Thanks

Today’s card was created by Ronda Wade from Create with Ronda.  Ronda hosts a Creative Online Convention regularly in which I participate frequently to glean great crafting ideas. This card is clean and simple and is easy to recreate, yet it has great style:  two punched flowers, two strips of coordinating washi tape, one background stamp and one sentiment!  How easy is that! When I saw this card, I thought I might like to recreate it using the layout but changing colors, tape, maybe punches and the sentiment! Come back tomorrow to see what I came up with!  Thanks for visiting...

Soccer Punch Art

Posted by on Jul 16, 2016 in Big Shot, Birthday, Punch Art

These punch art soccer balls were created with the hexagon punch that retired on May 31, 2016.  If you love punches as much as I do, then you want to keep and use some of your favorite punches, even though they have retired. My grandson turned 11 yesterday so I wanted to make him a soccer ball card because he really loves sports! In fact, we when we were on our Mediterranean Cruise in May, we were able to buy a soccer ball in  Barcelona, Spain ffor his birthday. My friend, Carolanne, made the Garden Green/Black card and I made the Real Red/Black card.  I had to make it red because that’s the color of his birthday ball, although still not identical but close! I used a Birthday Banners for the sentiment along with some retired Candy Dots as well as Polka Dots Embossing Folder. Please come back for my next post to see another variation of the Kleenex tissue box. Thanks for visiting...
