Easy Z-Fold!

Posted by on Aug 27, 2018 in Big Shot, Birthday, Techniques, Thanks

Today’s share is a beautiful, easy Z-Fold that stamper’s made in the August Creative Folds class.  This fold was shared by Ronda Wade, so I chose the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper to make a masculine card and the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper to make for a special lady. The size of the DSP is 5 1/4″ x 8″, which is scored at 2″ and 4″.  The back section of DSP is glued onto an5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of coordinating cardstock.  The Z-Fold on this card shows the DSP off beautifully! The octopus stamp was sponged with Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide and cut out with the coordinating die.   The flowers on the second card front from the Pop of Petals, were stamped on scrap Very Vanilla with Calypso Coral Classic Ink and punched out with the coordinating Four-Petal Flower Punch. Stampers loved these cards as I did!  In addition to making these cards, we also made two cards using the Rubber Band Technique below: Do you love these cards?  If you’d like to get fresh new crafting ideas, consider attending some stamping classes and get a chance to play with new stamps and products besides having fun with friends and making new friends.  Feel free to check my calendar for class updates and pick a class you like. Abstract Impressions Thank You

Posted by on Jul 10, 2018 in Techniques, Thanks

Abstract Impressions is the stamp set Carolanne used to create this beautiful braided card. I must admit when I first saw this set, I was not attracted to it, however, the beautiful creations Carolanne designed with this set were enough to persuade me otherwise!  I have now purchased this two-step stamp! If you’d like to learn how to make beautiful handmade cards, I would encourage you to attend one of my upcoming classes, or I would be happy to do a private class for you and your friends.  You pick the date and the place, your house or mine.  It’s that easy. Handwriting Meets Springtime Impressions!

Posted by on Jul 6, 2018 in Big Shot, Techniques

Todays stunning card created by Donna Wizniuk, features the variegated Handwriting background stamp with a vellum butterfly from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies and sentiment from Abstract Impressions.  The butterfly is so soft, it looks like his wings are starting to flutter! This was another swap card I received at the Creative Getaway Calgary. There are so many great new products in the new 2018-2019 catalogue, I’m sure it will take some time to have a chance to play and create with everything I love! Also, when the new catalogue was released, there were new Stampin’ Blends colors, however, they were not available till just this week.  I received my new colors yesterday so you’ll want to watch for new posts featuring the new colors and maybe even get your own favourite colors.  Coloring with the Stampin’ Blends is amazing as colors blend so beautifully! Thanks for visiting today!  Happy...

String Art Technique

Posted by on May 21, 2018 in Birthday, Techniques, Thanks

String Art is a technique I discovered last week and couldn’t wait to share it in my Technique Class and with all my online friends.  The first sample I made was with a single color.  Then I ventured into two and three colors.  Colors used in the first sample are Sweet Sugar Plum.  The second sample was made with Brusho colors:  Real Red, Gamboge and Moss. You surely can’t make two the same but it is truly fun playing with colors.  I’ll be sharing more samples in another post. Attending crafting classes is a great way to learn new techniques, play with new stamps, colors, and accessories.  If you are interested, check my calendar and plan to attend a class that appeals to you.  If you’d like to have your own private class with your friends, I can accommodate. Lovely As A Tree

Posted by on May 2, 2018 in Retiring, Sympathy, Techniques

Black Ice Technique is featured on this card created with the spruce from Lovely As A Tree.  This was the technique I taught at my April Technique Class. Supplies needed to create this card are minimal:  Basic Black cardstock, Silver Foil, Black Archival Ink, VersaMark, Clear Embossing powder and the stamp of your choice.  Embellishments are your choice.  I added a small piece of Black Shimmer Ribbon below the focal point and added the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes, which will be retiring as of May 31, 2018.  Greeting was punched out with the Classic Label Punch. The dragging of the ink pads, both Black and VersaMark are what makes this technique a WOW!  If you’re interested in learning a new technique, or refreshing an older technique, why not consider attending one of my classes.  I’d love to have you. Thanks for visiting today.  Happy...
